My Stumble Upon surprise.

An unexpected Stumble Upon Surprise.

Since I am still relatively new to the blogging world, I have not gotten so big for my britches that the small things just don’t matter to me. On the contrary, they do. So I bet that you can guess how excited I became when I checked my feed burner to see that I got hit 249 times in ONE day for this new blog here.

I am not letting things go to my head though, and I can guess much has to do with “new blog” syndrome that most newer blogs get. Everybody checks it out, just to see what is up.

But - do you know how people found me? They found me via the Stumble Upon site. I really thought that it was amazing that I had actually been viewed, let alone - 249 times in one day!

See, it’s the small things that continue to amaze me. And the fact that Stumble Upon has increased my traffic tells me that I really need to take a better look at them as a site.

When I first looked at SU, I was a bit confused with the navigation. It wasn’t all flashy, and it was a tad confusing to get to know and maneuver around. At least for me anyways. But I soon learned how to add a friend, stumble people, (which to me reminds me of a fancy bookmarking!) and read the posts written by everyone else. Some people even tweaked their stumble upon pages to make them into the designs that they wanted or liked.

For me, I am all set with that. I got too many things to do, let alone tweak yet another social bookmarking site! I am on the damn computer enough as it is - Don’t need another thing that I have to keep up with…

I think though, Stumble has something. They are definitely not going for looks, but considering that you can install a toolbar helper and you can stumble any page out there, that’s gotta be something good!

Seriously though, go try out Stumble Upon. I think maybe you will like it. It just takes a small amount of getting use to. And once you find your way around the site, I think you will love it.
